Deacons supports RICE Foundation 10 January 2007 RICE was launched in May 2006 at the Masters of Hedge Awards Dinner in Singapore as a pan-Asian, industry wide philanthropic initiative for the Alternative Investment Industry. RICE's aim is to improve the quality of life of the children it reaches, to give them access to the fundamentals for living: shelter, healthcare, education and opportunity. 100% of donations are invested in children. RICE recently held their first event in Hong Kong, a pre-Christmas function at M1NT, which was supported and attended by members of the Financial Services Practice Group. The event raised approximately US$90,000. Deacons has been engaged on a substantially pro bono basis to establish RICE's Hong Kong recognised charity.
