Deacons presents to Vietnam securities officials and institutions 6 June 2007 On Tuesday, 5th June, Christopher Liu of Deacons' Corporate Finance Practice Group gave a presentation to the Vietnam State Securities Commission and various Vietnamese state-owned banks, securities houses and financial institutions at an international conference in Hanoi. The conference, titled "Listing in Hong Kong" and co-sponsored by Deacons, was well attended by over 60 delegates. Other speakers included senior management from HKEx, HSBC and PwC. This is part of an initiative driven by the HKEx to introduce Hong Kong as a key international financial centre and attract Vietnamese state-owned financial institutions to consider Hong Kong as a listing forum.
