A series of overseas marketing trips by Deacons’ Financial Services Practice Group 22 June 2007 In May, Rory Gallaher and Susan Gordon of Deacons’ Financial Services Practice Group (FSPG) attended the IBA Globalisation of Mutual Funds Conference in Bermuda. The conference was attended by 300 delegates, mainly from independent law firms and in-house counsel in the fund management industry. At the conference Rory spoke on developments in Hong Kong and China in the investment funds industry. Jeremy Lam and Taylor Hui of the FSPG visited the UK and Dublin on a marketing trip and attended the Irish Funds Industry Association (IFIA) conference on 5 - 7 June. The conference was attended by approximately 300 delegates from the fund management industry including senior executives of fund houses, administrators and custodians, law firms, accounting firms and other service providers.
